ESC Gaming and Electronic Sahara are now qualified for the IEM6 World Championship with the replacement cup concluding as both sides defeated Hardware4u.
The three-team tournament started with Electronic Sahara taking on Hardware4u, a match the Frenchmen went on to win 2-0, 16-10 on de_inferno and 16-10 on de_nuke. Hardware4u was then put up against ESC Gaming, which resulted in another loss for the German squad, losing two maps in a row, seeing ESC Gaming win 16-8 on de_nuke and 16-2 on de_dust2.
The match between ESC Gaming and Electronic Sahara served no purpose, as both sides had won against Hardware4u. The match was therefore canceled. With the conclusion of the last match, Joe Miller did a draw to determine what group the two teams would end up in.
Out first of Miller's beanie was ESC Gaming, putting them in Group A, meaning Electronic Sahara go in Group B.
The groups for the IEM6 World Championship therefore look as follows:
Group A | Group B |

A stacked Group A is in store for us in less than a month, seeing last year's finalists in it, as well as the "new" SK Gaming, Danish-German mousesports, the Danes from Anexis and TyLoo from China. Group B is not as stacked, but surely includes a list of strong names, including Moscow Five, fnatic, Lions, as well as the WinFakt, Electronic Sahara and semXorah as the only team from the Americas.
The IEM6 World Championship will be held at CeBIT in Hannover on 6-10 March, a tournament you obviously will be able to follow up close right here on HLTV.org.
